
After working for the Japanese Ministry of Education and latterly Panasonic in Japan Paul established the Nagoya Office for the British Council in 1995 and was responsible for what was the British Council’ s largest overseas international education operation in Malaysia until 1999. He established beo in Japan in 2000 and has over 19 years’ work experience in international education and student recruitment, with direct experience in all the top 10 international student recruitment markets.
Cameron has 13 years experience working in International Student Recruitment field within UK universities,
including Acting Head of International Office at University of East Anglia, International Recruitment Manager at
Northumbria University and Head of International Relations at University of Salford. He left the university sector in
2005 and founded Hands On Education Consultants in Bangkok Thailand, which grew steadily to become the
leading higher education focused education consultancy in the country.
In addition to his work with Springova, the Gocard and also beo, Colin chairs two technology businesses in the UK.
One of them, Cogenta Systems Ltd, produced the UK’ s highest downloaded (paid-for) iPhone shopping app in the
UK, which is now launching in the US. He was formerly Managing Director of Dixons and Managing Director of PC
World and Colin is also Visiting Professor of International Business Education at Cambodia’ s National Institution of
Education, a Director of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Foundation Trust, and Industry Fellow at Roehampton
University in the UK.
